| Abstract: In order to stabilize planting area of cotton, increase multiple cropping index, reduce planting cost and increase farmers' economic income, five snow bean varieties were introduced for screening out varieties of snow bean suitable for intercropping early-maturing cotton in eastern Henan. The results showed that 'Jinchuan Baihua Double Pod 818' and 'Pea No.6' of crisp and tender taste and high yield had concentrated flowering time, were convenient for picking, and had similar plant height with cotton plants, so they were suitable for intercropping early-maturing cotton. The comprehensive economic benefit of the intercropping mode of 'Jinchuan Baihua Double Pod 818' and early-maturing cotton was 50 223 yuan/hm2, and that of early-maturing cotton and 'Pea No.6' was 49 319 yuan/hm2, which were worth popularizing in eastern Henan. |
