Abstract: In order to screen out high-quality small watermelon cultivars suitable for facility cultivation in Yanqing district, 16 small fruit watermelon cultivars were introduced and tested under facility cultivation conditions in 5 experimental bases. The appearance, quality and yield of different cultivars were measured and analyzed, and an expert group was organized for on-site evaluation. The flavor, taste and other indicators of different cultivars were evaluated and scored based on unified scoring standards. The results showed that three cultivars of 'Jingcai No.1' 'Yumeixiang' and 'Caihong No.8' exhibited outstanding comprehensive traits. Among them, the fruit of 'Jingcai No.1' was oval shaped with green skin and orange yellow flesh, central sugar content of 11.60%, taste of crispy and tender with a light aroma, whose weight of a single melon was 1.81 kg, and the yield was 3 547.60 kg per 667 m2. 'Yumeixiang' was round fruit, with green skin and yellow flesh, central sugar content of 11.17%, taste of crispy with a light aroma, whose weight of a single melon was 1.87 kg, and the yield was 3 665.20 kg per 667 m2. 'Caihong No.8' was round fruit with green skin and red and yellow flesh, central sugar content of 11.80%, the taste of hard and crispy, whose weight of a single melon was 2.01 kg, and the yield was 3 782.07 kg per 667 m2
