Abstract: Scallion is native to China and have a cultivation history of over 3 000 years. In terms of cultivation technologies, Chinese ancestors have accumulated rich experience in the parcel selection, cultivation and seed retention of scallions. Among them, the improvement of technology mainly focused on intensive cultivation and warmth preservation measures and modern social needs have an important two-way role. In terms of consumption, scallions, as a crop that serves both seasoning and vegetables, are loved by people along with ginger and pepper in seasoning. In addition, scallion is also an important vegetable for people to eat. As one of the crops with the homotogy of medicinal and food, consuming scallions can not only provide people with a taste experience, but also have a certain impact on their bodies. Scallion also plays a very important role in ancient Chinese culture and the five meat dishes of Buddhism and Taoism. Through studying them, the tradition and development of traditional Chinese medicine and food homology in China can be further understanded, and also serve as a gateway to further understand the production and lifestyle of the ancient Chinese people. |
