| Abstract: In order to achieve high yield and high effi ciency in calabash gourd planting, the new calabash gourd cultivar 'Zaojia' was selected and bred with characteristics of excellent quality, high yield and strong resistance to adversity. After multi-location experiment, this cultivar showed the advantages of strong plant growth, more branching, high fruiting rate, which had beautiful fruit shape, green skin, white fl esh color, thick fl esh texture and good taste quality. With timely sowing, reasonable fi eld management and pest control measures, it could achieve a yield of more than 3 200 kg per 667 m2 and an output value of about 13 000 yuan per 667 m2 , which had signifi cant economic benefi ts. |
