In order to solve the problems of uneven planting density, different root sizes and low yield of
Brassica rapa L. in Tibetan areas, which could not meet the demand of high quality raw materials for processing enterprises,
the effects of different planting densities (plant-row spacing such as 20 cm×30 cm, 25 cm×30 cm, 30 cm×30 cm and
35 cm×30 cm) on tuberous root traits and yield of B. rapa L. in Tibetan areas of western Sichuan were studied
with the new cultivars purified from local cultivar of B. rapa L.. The results showed that there were extremely
significant differences in tuberous root diameter and weight per plant among different treatments, and the order of
plant-row spacing was 35 cm×30 cm > 30 cm×30 cm > 25 cm×30 cm > 20 cm×30 cm. The yield differences
of B. rapa L. among different treatments was extremely significant, and the order of plant-row spacing was
30 cm×30 cm > 35 cm×30 cm > 20 cm×30 cm > 25 cm×30 cm. According to the plant traits and yield of B.
rapa L. and the requirements of high quality raw materials for deep processing enterprises, the optimal plant-row
spacing for B. rapa L. cultivation was 30 cm ×30 cm in Tibetan areas of western Sichuan. When the product was
used as feed, plant-row spacing of 35 cm×30 cm and 30 cm×30 cm were acceptable. |
