Abstract: When the temperature rises after vernalization stage, kale can bolt and blossom, even if the fl ower stem is cut off, the ornamental effect will be affected. In order to inhibit bolting and prolong the ornamental period of kale and screen out suitable spraying schemes of growth regulators, daminozide (B9), paclobutrazol (PP333), chlorocholine chloride (CCC) and maleic hydrazide (MH) were sprayed at different growth stages of kale. The number of bolting, height of fl ower bolt, fl owering and ornamental properties were compared and analyzed after spraying. The results showed that spraying MH 3 000-4 000 mg/L on 0.5 cm bolt height stage could signifi cantly inhibit bolting and fl owering, but for cultivars with bright colors, the color leaves would fade to a certain extent after spraying and the ornamental value would be reduced. |
