Abstract: In order to find out suitable pollen preservation methods for seed production of cauliflower, and improve the efficiency of pollination, three methods of normal temperature moisturizing (treatment A), low temperature (treatment B) and low temperature freezing (treatment C) were used to preserve the pollen, and pollination was carried out in bud stage and flowering stage. The effects of different preservation methods on the pod setting rate and average grain number were compared. The results showed that with the increasing of preservation time, the pollination effect was reduced, and the reduction rate of treatment C was the slowest. In the production, the method of low temperature freezing could be used for short term preservation of pollen, which had a good effect and was easy to operate, and the seed setting rate was guaranteed at the same time. |
