Abstract: In order to full verificate the cold–resistance, green and high–quality characteristics of the new chives cultivar Jiuxing No.16, and ensure that the vegetable farmers could obtain high yield, high efficiency and safe agriculture products in planting the new cultivar, the new chives cultivar was promoted by Garden Science Institute of Pingdingshan in 15 provinces, cities or autonomous regions of China, which obtained good economic and social benefits. In the process of trials and promotion, Jiuxing No. 16 showed good qualities such as strong cold–resistance, dark green leaves, compact leaf bundles, good storage and transportation, high resistance to gray mildew and non–dormancy in winter. In addition, Jiuxing No.16 showed high growth speed and high yield after adopting technologies such as timely sowing, pre–promotion, rainproof transplanting, medium tillage and the prevention and control of disease and pest. It harvested more than 7 knives per year, and produced 12 517.42 kg per 667m2. |
