| Abstract: In order to study the effects of different rootstocks grafting on fruit brightness and peel cell pore of cucumber, and screen out cucumber cultivars which could improve peel characteristics of cucumber and enhance resistance, six cucumber materials were selected as rootstocks to be compared. The results showed that the effect of double rootstocks (C105+Jingxinzhen No.5) grafting on increasing yield and quality was the best, followed by C088 treatment, which were suitable for cultivation in picking and sightseeing gardens with emphasis on appearance quality. If the cucumber cultivar was planted in areas with poor environmental conditions, such as low temperature and other adversities, it would be recommended to use black-seeded pumpkin as rootstock for grafting. However, it might be reduce the commodity of fruit, and make the fruit cover serious wax powder layer. |
