| Abstract: In order to screen cold-tolerant radish (Raphanus sativus L.) cultivars which were suitable for cultivation during autumn and winter in Huzhou, screening test was carried out by taking 4 radish cultivars as experiment materials included 'Yuanbai Radish', 'Manshenhong Radish', 'YR Yangzhou baiyuchun Radish', 'Dayidianhong Radish'. The agronomic characters, quality, yield and cold tolerance were compared. The results indicated that 'YR Yangzhou baiyuchun Radish' had the best comprehensive performance because of good-looking, sufficient water, crisp taste, strong cold tolerance and highest yield (5 862 kg per 667 m2) which was significantly higher than that of other cultivars. Thus this cultivar could be considered to be the first choice for popularizing and planting as the autumn-winter radish in Huzhou and similar climate areas. |
