| 苏蓣3号是通过辐射诱变育种的方法，由“浙江余杭紫莳药”品种突变而获得新品种。其生育期中等偏迟，平均160～180 d。以块茎作种薯，一般播后40～45 d出苗，苗势壮。块茎纺锤形，表皮褐色，肉质柔滑，紫色亮丽，块茎肥大。块茎直径10～13 cm、长15～18 cm，单株结1～3块，单株块茎质量1.0～1.5 kg，少结零余子。 |

| Abstract: The new purple yam cultivar 'Suyu No.3' was breeded by 'Dioscorea batata Decne of Zhejiang Yuhang' through the method of radiation induced mutation. The growth period of 'Suyu No.3' was a little later than the normal with an average of 160～180 d. Using the tuber as yam seed, the cultivar could germinate in 40～45 d after sowing and had strong seedling vigor. The tuber was the shape of fusiform and had brown skin color, smooth fruit feeling, bright purple color and large size. The tuber had a diameter of 10～13 cm, length of 15～18 cm, and each plant had 1～3 tubers with the weight of 1.0～1.5 kg. There were few yam beans. |
