Abstract: The development status of mountain vegetables in China and the characteristics of mountain vegetables in the southern of China were summarized. The feasibility of planting mountain vegetables in Shaoguan area was analyzed from 5 aspects of geographical and topographic advantages, climatic advantages, agricultural resources advantages, vegetable economic benefits and policy advantages. The limiting factors of developing mountain vegetables were introduced according to the the actual situation, such as water source, meteorological disastesrs (cold and drought), diseases and pests, land leveling, traffic, continuous cropping obstacle, water and soil erosion, high labor cost. Through planting demonstration, enterprises would be promoted to develop mountain vegetables that were developed in the direction of industrialization and marketization, so as to promote the economic development of mountain areas. |
