Abstract: In order to screen out cauliflower cultivars suitable for cultivation in the cold areas of the Liupan Mountains located in Ningxia, 6 cauliflower cultivars were introduced in the comparative trail, and the indexes of different cultivars including growth period, plant height, leaf number, crown width, yield and quality were compared and analyzed. The results showed that the growth periods of 'Jinsong 75', 'Jinsong 69', 'Xinguisonghua 65 days' and 'Xingui 70 days' were shorter than 'Chunxiu' and 'Gailianglüxin'; the plant height, leaf number and crown width of 6 cauliflower cultivars showed little differences in the harvest period; the yields of 'Chunxiu', 'Jinsong 75' and 'Jinsong 69' were higher, and the yield of 'Gailianglüxin' was lower; the contents of protein, soluble sugar, crude fiber and VC in 'Jinsong 75', 'Jinsong 69', 'Xinguisonghua 65 days', 'Xingui 70 days' and 'Gailianglüxin' were significantly higher than white cauliflower cultivar 'Chunxiu', which reflected their higher nutritional value. In consideration of the performances of all cultivars in various aspects, combined with the development prospects of the market, 'Jinsong 69' and 'Jinsong 75' were more suitable to be planted in the cold areas of the Liupan Mountains. |
