| Abstract: To enrich and select new cultivars of strawberry, 'Taoxun', 'Xiaobai,' 'Xiangye' and'Xiangjiao' were cultivated in greenhouse to compare their sugar content, production and aroma with 'Hongjia' which was the main cultivar in Nantong. According to botanical characters, fruit quality, yield,occurrence of diseases and insect pests, 'Xiaobai' and 'Taoxun' were selected preliminarily as new strawberrycultivars which could be popularized in Nantong. |
