| Abstract: The ivory white eggplant No. 2 was a new variety crossed by Zhuliao white eggplant asfemale parent and 9832-1-1-3 as the male parent. This variety was early maturing, sowing to harvest wasabout 75 days, harvest period extends 51 days, the whole growth period was about 126 days. The fruit wasvirgate and regular in shape with shapely head and bottom, the peel was white with lustre, the flesh waswhite. This variety had good quality and yield with strong adaptability which was tolerant to low light,chilling and waterlogging. The average yield of 667 m2 was about 2 566.7 kg, suitable for spring and autumncultivation in Southern China area. |
